UK: Lawmakers approve Brexit Withdrawal Agreement Bill as expected
The United Kingdom's Lower House of Parliament approved Prime Minister Boris Johnson proposed the Withdrawal Agreement Bill that will allow the UK to leave the EU on January 31st. Lawmakers voted 330 to 231 in favour of the legislation, per Reuters.
The British pound paid no attention to this development as it was widely expected. As of writing, the GBP/USD pair was trading at 1.3065, losing 0.25% on a daily basis and the EUR/GBP pair was up 0.32% at 0.8503.
